Until 2005 there has only been one way to get hold of Jo's landscapes - by being transported across the sea by plane, helicopter or boat, and making your way to the studio at Rocky Hill. This is the alternative.
It's not quite the real thing, of course - but if just one remembered sensation of Scilly sneaks up on you in the next few minutes - then it's been worth the search.
Most visitors to this site will be familiar with the deserted avenue of ancient elms leading to the old granite studio at Rocky Hill; and with the brightness of the pastel landscapes which line the walls, their lively and unbridled elements twisting and turning.
Perhaps it's that energy which has brought you here. Probably your reaction to the extraordinary tranquility of Scilly is the same as her's: positive, energetic, hopeful; full of clean, clear excitement and flamboyant colour. Not everyone sees the world that way. But it's a vision which tends to make people feel better.
So, although Rocky Hill is as solitary and fixed as you could wish, Jo's art is always on the move. That's what the website is for - to keep those of you who value her vision in touch with where she is now, and where she's going next.
And for those of you who have stumbled and landed here accidentally - welcome! Accept this as an invitation to share in the secrets of Scilly. These colours really do exist - but you do need to come and experience them for yourself one day.
