Interesting facts
The name Phaeton refers to the ride of the mythical Phaeton, son of Helios, who set the earth on fire while attempting to drive the chariot of the sun. Every June during the official birthday celebrations, Queen Elizabeth II travels to and from the Trooping The Colour on Horse Guards Parade in an ivory-mounted Phaeton carriage, made in 1842 for her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria.
Phaetons can also been seen in films such as Jane Austen’s Sense And Sensibility and Pride And Prejudice.
